Writing John 4

Good morning. Looks like another blue sky day here in Northeast Tennessee. I cannot get through with this chapter without thinking of the woman at the well. If you don’t know about her just take a few minutes to read about her but don’t stop until you reach verse 42. That way you see the ‘rest of the story’. (some may be too young to understand that pun)

The woman at the well told the people of the town, ‘He told me all that I ever did’. Because of her telling the people, they went to see Jesus, and stayed 2 days listening to Him. The woman led them to Jesus, then they said ‘for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.’ The woman led them there, and then they listened. We never know what we can do for Christ.

When I was a young child, a woman gave me a bible. Her daughter was about my age. I don’t even remember her name or her daughter’s name. I do remember she had a trampoline. It would have been in the 80’s sometime. I still have this bible. On nights that were difficult in my childhood, I would lay under my bed with a flashlight and read from it. I have always felt that this was the beginning of my journey to find the Lord. I had no idea what I was reading but it gave me peace on the hard times. I am so thankful that I followed the light and found Jesus. I am thankful to that woman about 40 years ago who shared Jesus with me.

Let us share Him too!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
