Writing Luke 13 (3/24/2023)

Good morning. We have reached another Friday morning. Temps are beginning to rise again, and blue skies and a few clouds today. I think it is a good thing that we get to experience changes in the seasons, it helps me appreciate each one for it’s differences.

In today’s writing, we see the parable of the barren fig tree. A tree that didn’t bear fruit for 3 years. For what ever reason, it didn’t take advantage of the seasons. The owner of the vineyard wanted to cut it down, it was taking up space, since it wasn’t doing what it should have been doing. But the vinedresser, so graciously asked for one more year so that he could dig around it and add manure, so that it could bear fruit the next year. If at that point it continues to be barren, he can cut it down.

As a Christian, I should be barring some fruit. I pray the Lord Jesus will come add manure around me so that I may bear fruit.

I sure hope everyone has a wonderful day and weekend!!
