Writing Luke 8 (3/17/2023)
Good morning, it is Friday. It always comes so quickly.
In chapter 8 we hear about the parable of the sower. I know I have mentioned it before, but I just can’t help it. Repetition is good for us right? I like to see where I fall in the parable. Am I one who heard and then the devil took the word from my heart? Am I one who received it with joy, but then fell away because there was no root? Am I one who heard, but as I went on my way the cares of the world choked out the word of God and I didn’t mature? Or am I one who heard the word, held fast in an honest and good heart, and bears fruit with patience?
I sure hope I am the last one, although at times I do feel the cares of the world creeping in trying to overtake me. I need to continually feed and water my seed so that it will grown good strong roots.
