Writing Numbers 22
Good morning….
“Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?”
numbers 22:28
“The donkey saw me and turned aside before me these three times. If she had not turned aside from me, surely just now I would have killed you and let her live.” (angel of the Lord speaking)

I always enjoy reading this chapter. I love animals and it would be great to know what they are thinking, but if any of my animals began to speak I think I would have freaked out a bit. But Balaam goes along and answers the donkey, like it is normal. This donkey got caught in the middle of a situation and tried to save her master. Poor donkey :).
Are there times in my life that road blocks have appeared and I was too stubborn to see them? Maybe the Lord was trying to tell me something…. Maybe not… In the previous verse Balaam had stated:
“Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the command of the Lord my God to do less or more.”
numbers 22:18
I need to make sure I am not going against the command of the Lord and if I do I need to repent. Sometimes that is easier said than done.
