Writing Exodus 5
Good morning…
“Then Moses turned to the Lord and said, “O Lord, why have you done evil to this people? Why did you ever send me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has done evil to this people, and you have not delivered your people at all.”
exodus 5:22-23
The feelings Moses must have been feeling. He came to save his people and now they are under more suffering than they had been to begin with. After all, he only did what the Lord told him to.
Is it harder to listen to the Lord? Is it easier to go along with the flow of this world? Do what I want to do… Say what others want me to say… Make myself comfortable instead of doing what I should for the Lord.
It is hard to see the results when we are suffering. But if I hang in there, in the moment, then I can look back and see that following the Lord was worth all of the pain and suffering this world may give me…
