Writing Genesis 15
Good evening…
“On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites.”
Genesis 15:18-20
I could not help it, I had to write that verses just to see if you would read all of the names. 🙂
On a serious note, the Lord had already told Abram that he would give him the land, but this time he goes into more details and makes an official covenant with Abram. There was even a sacrifice to seal the deal.
As a Christian, we have been promised a place in heaven. But the sacrifice was not of heifers, goats, a ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon. This time the sacrifice was Jesus, God’s Son. His life was given so that we can have life in heaven with Him one day.
God is so Good!!
