Writing Song of Solomon 8
Good morning…
The last chapter in Song of Solomon and the last book of the ‘Books of Poetry’. This book is a book of love between Solomon and his bride. I can not help but compare it to the love Jesus has for the Church, especially when I see verses like 7 and 8.
“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it.
Song of solomon 8:7-8
If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised.”
We all know that love can be a great motivator and so powerful. It can make us do very foolish things, but it can also make us do some miraculous things. People have found great stregnth when a loved one is at risk.
Love, true love can stand the test of time, and can be stronger than all of its enemies. We see this when it comes to our Lord. He left the heavenly riches with God the Father, because He loved us. So many cannot understand this, and in turn don’t believe Jesus is who He is. Jesus gave up all He had for His Church, His Bride. Many people would call it foolish. But what it really is, is true love.
Try to read a few verses today!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
