Writing Song of Solomon 3
Good morning..
“On my bed by night I sought him whom my soul loves; I sought him, but found him not.”
song of solomon 3:1
Have you ever lost someone that you loved? My hubby traveled a lot during our years together, and there were times I waited and he didn’t show up when I had expected him. That was at a time before the convenience of cell phones. He always turned up eventually, but the wait was hard. I also, lost my children. This was much harder on me because they were young and not as capable to taking care of themselves. It is so hard waiting and looking for the one you love to show back up. The thoughts that go through your mind are very difficult to deal with. I was filled with joy when they returned to me.
This makes me think of the parable Jesus told in Matthew 18:
“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more that over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.”
Matthew 18:10-14
How important am I to God the Father? When I drift away and become lost, He will search… He will wait… And He will welcome me, with open arms, when I return back to him. Just like it is described in Luke 15
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.”
Luke 15:20
Such a wonderful feeling to know how much God the Father loves us.
Try to read a few verses in the Bible today!!
