Writing Proverbs 23
Good morning…
“Let not you heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day.“
proverbs 23:17
Definition from my bible app:
Envy: 1. Feeling of grudging admiration and desire to have something that is possessed by another; enviousness. 2. spite and resentment at seeing the success of another (Personified as one of the deadly sins).
Do I want what sinners have? Do I want it enough to go after it? Do I want it enough to go after it no matter the consequences?
I think we tend to think about this in a materialistic way, but if I look at it in a spiritual way, will I really want what they have? Do I want to be lost in my sins without a savior?
So thankful for Jesus.
