Writing Psalm 119:105-144
Good morning.. I decided today to refresh my mind on some of the details of 119. To begin it is the longest chapter in the Bible. It is also an acrostic chapter, containing 8 verses per Hebrew letter of their alphabet. That is right those divider words (Nun, Samekh, Ayin, etc) are the Hebrew alphabet. They have 22 letters. As we can see through the Psalm it expresses the importance of God’s word, statutes, rules, commandments, etc. Oh how important His rules are in our spiritual life and in life in general.
Sometimes it is just a little interesting to look up some of the ‘behind the scene’ details. Now when you come across those odd little words in Psalm 119 you will know what they are.
