Writing Psalm 34
Good morning..
“Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.
Psalm 34:13-14
Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”
Some verses are so easy and clear to understand. But they can be hard to put into practice. ‘But it sounds so simple. Why can’t I follow these easy rules?’ I have found that if I surround myself with good it is easier to be good. But as we all know it is hard to surround ourselves with good in this world. Negative things find their way to creep in. Temptations surround me, then I am weak. I am so glad that God knew this and sent His Son to be my Savior and your Savior.
Does this mean I should not try to do what is right? No…. I should always try to do what He has asked, but in my times of weakness He has provided a way for forgiveness, through the love of His Son.
