Writing Job 11
Good morning. Today we hear from Zophar the Naamathine. The third friend of Job’s. I try to keep in mind that his friends truly think they are doing right by Job. Their judgements are based on what they believe and feel in their hearts. Zophar asks Job a few questions:
“Can you find out the deep things of God?
Job 11:7-8
Can you find out the limit of the Almighty?
It is higher than heaven–what can you know?
Deeper than Sheol–what can yo know?
I allow my experiences, and things that I have learned, to cloud my judgments of what is going on in my life or in another person’s life. It was probably a very natural thing for those around Job to assume he did something to deserve the things that were happening to him. It is a natural reaction for me to believe the same about myself or about others as we go through trials of this world. After all, sometimes things are my fault and I have to go through the consequences. But somethings just happen. I have to continue to be strong in my faith and know that God is with me, the things I go through here on this earth are only temporary. I am so thankful for the whole book of God’s Word. It helps me to understand a bit better, and a little bit is all I need to know He is there.
God is so Good!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
