19 books written and only 8 more to go!!
Good morning!! How is my progress going? I am happy to say that I have written 19 books of the New Testament. This is huge in my mind. I cannot believe that I have gotten this far. I do want to say thank you to those who have been following along as I go. The support from some of you has been very encouraging.
As I have gone through these months a couple of things in my mind have changed. The first is that I do have a goal even though I didn’t want one, I just can’t help it. I think there is something in me that has to see an end mark. My goal is to finish the New Testament this year. It is no big deal if I don’t but it would be so cool ( I know I could have used a better word) if I could write the entire New Testament in one year.
The second thing that I have gone back and forth with is the scribbling in my notebooks. Sometimes the mess ups make me smile because I can’t ever seem to write without messing up. But there is a part of me that wishes my notebook could be nice and neat and no scribbles. I know that will never happen, so I guess I will accept my scribbled version of the New Testament.
Just in case you are wondering, I am still using the random pens that have been collecting in our house through the years. I am on pen #23. There were lots that didn’t even write and were not included in the count. Some were not fun to use and were a bit dry and drug along the paper at a snails pace. While others were so nice that I hated to see them run out of ink. It is interesting watching my handwriting change just a bit with each pen. I do find I like blue ink better than black. It is more pleasing to my eye. 🙂
I am still enjoying my writing time in the morning and miss it on the days that I don’t fit into my schedule. It is a great way to start my day. I do feel closer to the Lord and feel His words in me more than before. I think about the words I have written through out the day in situations and conversations. This is what I had hoped would happen.
I have begun to get all of my daily writings together from this year if anyone is interested. I don’t know if it will be a daily devotional book or something similar. I am hoping to fit pictures my daily scribbles in it too. We will see.
