Writing 2 Timothy 2
Good morning, I had such a hard time in choosing my subject today. I was torn between 2. But I settled on this one:
“Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
if we endure, we will also reign with him;
if we deny him, he also will deny us;
if we are faithless, he remains faithful—
for he cannot deny himself.”
Paul wants Timothy to remember the greatest thing, Jesus, who rose from the dead. Remembering Jesus is how we can reach eternal life with Him. Because when we die with Him we live with Him and we will reign with Him. It is so important for me to go back and think about why I try to study the Bible each day. It is important for me to remember why I try to share it with others.
I want others to know the Love that I have received, the forgiveness that I have received, and the peace that I have in knowing that, ‘we will also live with him’.
