Writing 1 Kings 14
Good morning….
“At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick. And Jeroboam said to his wife, “Arise, and disguise yourself, that it not be known that you are the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who said of me that I should be king over this people. Take with you ten loaves, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what shall happen to the child.”
1 kings 14:1-3
Jeroboam, a man who not only chose not to follow God, but also devised a plan to deter the people from following God, knew who to turn to when he was desperate. That is right, he turned to a prophet of God when his son was sick. It is sad that he knew in his heart who to turn to but chose not to.
I hope I don’t fight the truth that I know in my heart, God is the truth.
