Writing 1 Kings 13

Good morning…

A great lesson I can learn from.

“Then he said to him, “Come home with me and eat bread.” And he said, “I may not return with you, or go in with you, neither will I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place, for it was said to me by the word of the Lord, ‘You shall neither eat bread not drink water there, nor return by the way that you came'” And he said to him, ” I also am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back wit you into your house that he may eat bread and drink water'” But he lied to him. So he went back with him and ate bread in his house and drank water.”

1 kings 13:15-19

This prophet had direct instruction from the Lord, but he believed another person. A person who was suppose to be a man who spoke for the Lord. I need to be careful before I listen to another person. Even if they are in a place that I would assume they would know what God says. I can only believe the words that I read from the Bible, the true words of God.

“And as he went away a lion met him on the road and killed him. And his body was thrown in the road, and the donkey stood beside it; the lion also stood beside the body.”

1 kings 13:24

If not then I may find myself destroyed by the sin of the world. Lost and not able to find my way home.

If you need another lesson from this chapter, you can read about Jeroboam and how even though he clearly seen the work of the Lord, he chose to not turn from his evil ways. 🙁

Try to read a few verses from the Bible today!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
