Writing Acts 28
Good morning, the last chapter in Acts. Paul finally gets to Rome. So much happened on the way. I started to talk about his time in Malta but decided to let you read about that on your own. After he gets to Rome and talks to the people there, the people were split, some believed and some did not. He says some powerful words in verse 25-27:
“The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:
‘Go to this people, and say,
“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they ca barely hear, and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn , and I would heal them’.”
I have brought up verses like this before. For me they are scary because there are times we can be blinded and not know it. We can be hard of hearing and not understand and not know it. We can have our heard closed off and never feel it. I need to remember to pray for open eyes, open ears, and an open heart.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!
