Writing Acts 17
Good morning, as I was writing this chapter I thought about how the different people reacted to hearing the Good News. Some were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas. Some were jealous and became hostile. Some received it eagerly. Some mocked. Some were curious and questioning. We get these same reactions today. Paul said the same words to a group of people and they all reacted a little different. His hope was they would hear him and repent, verse 30. This too should be our hope.
I also love how he points out in verse 28-29, that we are God’s offspring. He is not something we can create or make up. He made us. I want to learn about the God who created me. The only way I can do that is through Scripture. All of the information I need is in the Bible. I just need to open it, read it, pray about it, open my heart to Him, follow Him. Then I can learn about repentance, baptism, and faithfulness. It is all here, I just have to open it and read it.
God is so Good!!
I sure hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
