Writing Acts 15

Good morning, as I got towards the end of this chapter I though about the 2 disagreements, and how they were handled. In the first disagreement among the brethren, about circumcision and following the law of Moses for the Gentiles, the brethren came together and debated back and forth till they came to the resolution. In the second disagreement between Paul and Barnabas, they decided to walk away and go their separate ways. Later on in 2 Timothy 4:11, Paul asks for Mark and says he is very useful to him. So we can see that eventually things worked out.

At times it is hard to work through disagreements. It is also hard to know when to debate and when to walk away. There are times I definitely should have walked away, allowing my feelings to calm down, so that I could become a bit more rational before dealing with a situation. We can see in verse 39 that things became a “sharp disagreement’, maybe that is when I should know to walk away. This is usually when things can be said that shouldn’t be said. People get hurt and it is harder to resolve the situation.

I love how the bible gives us real life situations so that we can learn and teach.

God is so Good!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
