Writing Acts 14
Good morning, Paul and Barnabas are still traveling together spreading the word to those in each town. I could learn so much from them. They went about speaking boldly no matter the consequences. We see in verse 19-21 how they were treated and what they chose to do afterwards:
“they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead. But when the disciples gathered about him, he rose up and entered the city, and on the next day he went on with Barnabas to Derbe. When they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and Iconium and to Antioch”
They did not give up. They were not afraid to go on and preach the word no matter how they were mistreated. Oh, what faith they had. I can’t seem to stay focused with my simple little life yet they were beaten and still continued. He didn’t even take a week off, he went on the next day.
Hopefully, my faith will continue to grow. I am so thankful for forgiveness as I continue to try to do better today than I did yesterday.
