Writing Luke 14
Good morning. As I was going over my writing today, struggling with what to reflect on with everyone, I went back to the parable of the great banquet. Those that the master invited made excuses and did not come. So the master filled his banquet with those who would, the poor, the crippled, the blind and lame, and more. The last verse of that parable, verse 24:
‘For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet.’
Such sad words when we think about the Kingdom of God. We have all been invited. Let me not make an excuse. Let me come and let him heal my sin sick soul.
