Writing Luke 5 (3/14/2023)
Good morning. I would like to think about the men who were bringing the paralytic man to Jesus. The ones who carried him there and once they arrived realized there was no way to get into the door to get him to see Jesus. They were faced with a real problem. I can imagine them scratching their heads, talking about what they were gonna do. Then one came up with the idea. Did they all jump on board or was there a discussion about how this was a ridiculous idea? We will never know. But they were faced with a problem and had choices to make. Luckily, they made the right choice and the man was able to pick up his bed and walk out the door and go home.
In life, I will be faced with so many choices. At times I will make the wrong choice, and other times I will make the right one. Sometimes I will never know if I made the right one or not. But one thing I do know, the choice to follow Jesus is always the right choice. Then I know that one day I will pick up my bed and be able to walk home, to be with the Father in heaven. A glorious day that will be.
