Writing Mark 6 (2/17/2023)
Good morning. A good chapter with so many things I could bring up, but I am going to go to the latter part of verse 49, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” I have to think of the many ‘storms’ I have been through in my life so far. These are the words I want to hear when my life feels out of control. I can even imagine taking his hand, just as Peter did as he was going down into the water. That part is not written about in Mark but it is in Matthew 14. When my life feels out of control I want to hand it all to Jesus. I want him to calm the winds of life, and take me by the hand, and say, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
