Writing 1 Chronicles 10, 11, 12, and 13
“And when they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah put out his hand to take hold of the ark, for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark, and he died there before God. And David was angry because the Lord had broken out against Uzzah. And that place is called Perez-uzza to this day. And David was afraid of God that day, and he said, “How can I bring the ark of God home to me?” So David did not take the ark home into the city of David, but took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
1 chronicles 13:9-13
Some things can be hard for us to understand. One may say, ‘Uzzah was trying to save the ark, why did he get punished?’. God had specific directions for transporting the ark of God. One might even say, ‘Why didn’t the others get punished since they were the ones who put the ark on the cart?’ We don’t know the whole mind of God. We don’t know why it played out the way it did. What we do know is they did not listen and someone lost their life because of it.
For me I learn that in the New Testament there are things I should be following, I don’t want to loose my soul, so I need to listen. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Love God, love others! How do I do this? It is all in the Bible I just have to read it. There are things I need to do, just like they had things they were suppose to do. How do I save my soul? Read the instructions in the Bible, it is all there.
