Writing 2 Kings 17
Good evening!!
“The Lord made a covenant with them and commanded them, “You shall not fear other gods or bow yourselves to them or serve them or sacrifice to them, but you shall fear the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm. You shall bow yourselves to him and to him you shall sacrifice.”
2 kings 17:35-36
“You shall not fear other gods, but you shall fear the Lord your God, and he will deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.”
2 kings 17:38-39
I like to refresh my mind about what it means to worship someone or something other than God. I can listen to what others say, but I like to read it from God’s words. Then, I like to think to myself, is there anything in my life that may be looked at as idol worship? Is there anything in my life that the Lord may think that I am worshiping? It is good for me to keep a check on myself. 🙂
