Writing 2 Kings 11
Good evening…
“And the priest gave to the captains the spears and shields that had been King David’s, which were in the house of the Lord.
2 kings 11:10
These little details catch my attention sometimes. There was about 136 years between when David died and when Joash (Johash) began to reign. So the priests had hung on to the spears and shields all these years, waiting for the right king to use them. I guess we will find out in the next chapter whether he was a good king or a bad king in the eyes of the Lord.
