Writing 1 Kings 8:44-66
Good evening… It has been way too long. Those who know me, know that I have been struggling with illness since the middle of December. My mind and body are all out of sorts. I am hoping to be better soon but it looks like it will be at least a few more weeks before I can begin to try to be normal again. We will see. But I am here today..
“If they sin against you–for there is no one who does not sin– and you are angry with them and give them to an enemy, so that they are carried away captive to the land of the enemy, far off or near,”
1 kings 8:46
As Solomon is making his plea to the Lord he says, ‘for there is no one who does not sin’. This caught my attention quickly. I hate to admit that I don’t think about my sins as often as I should. Lately, my sin of choosing other things instead of reading God’s Word is a biggie. Or my sin of not loving others enough to check on them. The list can go on. I need to remember that I sin, and that we all sin.
But I can also remember that I can turn to the Lord, who came to this earth to die, so that ours sins can be forgiven. God is so Good!!
Try to read a few verses from the Bible today!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
