Writing Mark (2/10/2023)
Good morning. A new chapter. I love that the different books offer different views of the life of Jesus. Matthew was more detailed, giving us a bit more background of the situations. In this first chapter, Mark has little detail and gets to the point quickly. I am not sure how many times my English Standard Version said ‘immediately’. Maybe Mark is in a hurry to tell us all about it (smile). He did slow down a bit as he wrote about the leper in the end of the chapter. I could take a lesson in this and should be in more of a hurry to share the Word of God.
