Writing 1 Samuel 30 and 31

Good evening….

“But when the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, all the valiant men arose and went all night and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth-shan, and they came to Jabesh and burned them there. And they took their bones and buried them under the tamarisk tree in Jabesh and fasted seven days.

1 samuel 31:11-13

The end of 1 Samuel. I find this book to be a sad book. So much jealousy, fighting, anger, sadness. Too often when we look back at history this is what we see. I have to remember to look closer to see the good that is also in this book. A couple examples are God’s loyalty and Samuel’s and David’s faithfulness.

As I look at life I have to always keep the good in mind more than the bad that happens. Most of all I can look to the good that lies ahead.

Try to read a few verses from the Bible today!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
