Writing Judges 6
Good evening…
“Now the angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth at Ophrah, which belong to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon was beating out whet in the winepress to hide it from the Midianites.”
Judges 6:11
Very often as I am writing the Bible, little things make me pay attention. Lately, the phrase ‘angel of the Lord’, has caught my attention. I am getting very curious about who this ‘angel of the Lord’ is. I have my ideas, but I want to know if my ideas are correct. The only way to find out is to read through all of the times that this particular phrase is used and see if it will tell me. My answer isn’t good enough, other people’s answers aren’t good enough, only the Bible answer is good enough. This will be a study for the future.
