Writing Deuteronomy 9
Good morning..
“Know, therefore, that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stubborn people”
deuteronomy 9:6
It was repeated 3 times in the beginning of this chapter, that they were not getting this land because of their righteousness. I remember yesterday’s lesson mentioning that they were not getting this land because of their power… This was so important to remember where their blessing were coming from so that they didn’t loose focus on God. I too can be a proud and stubborn child and loose focus…..
This reminds me that as Christians, I did not receive salvation because of anything I did. It was because of the love that God the Father and Jesus the Son had for us. I pray I can stay focused.
