Writing Numbers 31 and 32

Good evening…

Decided to go ahead and do tomorrows writing too, since it will be an eventful day again.

“The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Avenge the people of Israel on the Midianites. Afterward you shall be gathered to your people.”

numbers 31:1-2

I find two thoughts in this verse:

  1. Moses knew he didn’t have much time left in his life. Moses was nearing his death and he knew it. It makes me wonder what went through his mind. I am sure he told everyone everything he thought they needed to know. I seen this at the end of my mother’s life. But most of all, I am sure he longed to be with God after all this time.
  2. God doesn’t forget my actions. Sometimes consequences don’t happen immediately, but there are consequences to the things I do. This was also the case with the Midianites. It was time for their consequences. Unlike the Midianites, I do have a Savior for my sins. I won’t suffer the consequences of my sins spiritually, if I go to the Lord and receive forgiveness through Christ. He gave His life to pay for the sins I have committed. I am so thankful. I may still suffer for them in this physical world but that is much better than suffering for them after this life is over.

God is so Good!!

Try to read a few verses from the Bible today!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day today!!
