Writing Exodus 8

Afternoon…..

“But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart and would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.”

Exodus 8:15

“Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “this is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.”

Exodus 8:19

“But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and did not let the people go.”

exodus 8:32

Oh, the stubbornness. Can we be stubborn when we have out minds set on something? I know I can be sometimes. Pharaoh, did not want to let these people go. He was even told by his magicians, ‘this is the finger of God’, even that did not change his mind. He did not want to loose his workers. He was also afraid they would rise up against him.

“Behold, the people of Israel are toon many and too mighty for us. Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.”

exodus 1:9-10

As I think about his hardened heart, I can’t help by think of the Grinch because of the time of the year, he and his black heart… Maybe Pharaoh needed a little girl and a dog to teach him. Just teasing. The Lord knew exactly what he needed and knew exactly what the people needed to see and experience.

My lesson for me for the day… Don’t harden my heart so much that I am not willing to see the truth…

Try to read a few verses today!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
