Writing Genesis 44
Good morning…
Humility…
“Then Judah went up to him and said, “Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant, for you are like Pharaoh himself.”
genesis 44:18
“Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak.”
Genesis 18:30
There are several times though out the Bible where we see true humility. These are just 2 examples. Judah’s humility is towards Jacob and not God, but it is still humility. Seeing the humility reminds me how I should have true humility in my prayers. I have to say that this is a quality that I lack in my prayer life. As I have written quite a bit of the Bible, I have seen the humility in Paul, in David, in Job, in Abraham and others. My hope is as I continue to study, the humility will continue to grow in me.
