Writing Genesis 24:34-67
Good morning…
When I read this section it makes me smile. It seems a bit romantic as Rebekah looks out.
“And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she dismounted from the camel and said to the servant, “Who is that man, walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.”
Genesis 24:64-65
This isn’t how we find our husbands and wives in the states today, so it may be a little hard to understand. But if you read forward you can see that, ‘he loved her’.
I like to also reflect on the New Testament and how the Church is called the Bride of Christ. There will be a day that Christians will look and see Christ coming to gather us into heaven with Him. Oh what a wonderful day!!
