Writing Proverbs 29

Good morning….

“A man of wrath stirs up strife,
and one given to anger causes much transgression.”

Proverbs 29:22

As I go through my day, I can easily get wrapped up in negative thoughts. As I wake in the morning, the first thing I do is take care of my pets, potty and feed. If Rufus doesn’t listen to me and wants to stay out for a bit, I can get frustrated.. Or I can be thankful I have him and that he wants to enjoy the outside that the Lord has blessed us with.

As I make my coffee and if the coffee machine breaks, I can get angry and slam things around, or I can be thankful that I can drive to the store and get another machine.

As I drive through the traffic and someone pulls out in front of me, I can get mad and yell, or I can be thankful that I didn’t have to walk to the store.

Each moment gives me an opportunity to decide how the next moment will be. In Proverbs we are reminded over and over what we think and do are very important. We hear of the fools, and the wise, the scoffers and the righteous. I have a choice in each moment who I want to be. In one moment I will be a fool, in another I will do a bit better.

I am thankful that we are given a choice. But I am most thankful that Jesus came down to this earth to give us salvation, because He knew that I couldn’t make it to heaven without Him.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
