Writing Job 38
Good morning… Could you imagine suddenly hearing this?
“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and make it know to me.”
Job 38:2-3
The first verse describes the Lord’s answer out of a whirlwind. So I can imagine a voice that would suddenly startle anyone. Especially, if you were not expecting it.
All I could imagine would be a complete humbling in that moment. Maybe even to fall completely down in a prostrate position (laying flat down). To even get a glimpse of God’s greatness would probably make one immobile.
Oh what a wonderful day that will be when I get to see him and be with him. I am thankful that Jesus came to this earth to take away my sins so that on that day, I won’t hear the same frustration from Him. My hope is that it will be like it says in Hebrews:
“For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
Hebrews 8:12
