Writing Job 16
Good morning. O’ poor Job. I hate to read his sadness.
“I have heard many such things; miserable comforters are you all. Shall windy words have an end? Or what provokes you that you answer?”
Job 16:2-3
I think he is very tired of the responses from his friends. They aren’t giving him any comfort.
Sadly, he continues to believe that God the Father has done this to him.
“God gives me up to the ungodly and casts me into the hands of the wicked. I was at ease, and he broke me apart: he seized me by the neck and dashed me to pieces; he set me up as his target; his archers surround me.”
Job 16-11-13
But he makes a comment further on that shows you something important, if you blink you may not notice it.
“Even now, behold my witness is in heaven, and he who testifies for me is on high.”
Job 16:19
Job knows that God is there and will testify in his favor. Even though he may be a bit confused as to why these things have come upon him, he believes God will stand by him. I am sure that gave him more comfort than these three have.
God is so Good!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
