Writing Revelation 8

Good morning. As I get into these chapters, I realize there is a lot I cannot explain. But for me, that is ok. Even though this is my favorite book that I have read several times, I do not pretend to understand it all. I have found that each time I read the Bible, I see more, I understand a little more, and I begin to connect the dots from one passage to another. There is always something I did not see before.

When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

Revelation 8:1

Could you imagine being anywhere and there was silence for half an hour? I have been up on a mountain in the wee hours of the morning and I still heard something. The wind… The leaves… Bugs…. There is always some noise. I don’t think I have ever been in a place of silence for a minute. I could not imagine it. But this event was so important those who were there were silenced.

It makes me think about times when the Word of God has silenced me. Just yesterday, as I sat in bible class, a point was brought up and I sat silenced. Reality of what God’s word says can silence us. I can choose to meditate on it or ignore it. Hopefully, I will always choose to meditate on it.

God is so good!! Find some silence today in God’s Words!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
