Writing 1 Kings 21
Good evening…
“(There was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the Lord like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited. He acted very abominably in going after idols, as the Amorites had done, whom the Lord cast out before the people of Israel.)”
1 kings 21:25-26
Incited: to urge or stir someone to action, to encourage someone to commit an act.
What did Jezebel do for her husband? She encouraged him to do evil in the sight of the Lord.
As a wife, I can choose to encourage my husband to be better or to be worse. As a Christian wife, I should try to help my husband be better. Do I always succeed? No. But as a whole, I should be helping my husband instead of hindering him. My goal is to help us to get to see Jesus some day. Ultimately, we make our own choices. But we can do our best to help each other along the way.
