Writing 1 Kings 18

Good morning…

“Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, “The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.”

1 kings 18:37-39

There are times in history that people seen the work of God. I remember how many people turned to God when the towers were struck on 9-11. They seen the faith that the workers had, they seen people saved under rubble that would would seem impossible, but they also seen the tragedy, and sometimes it is the tragedy that makes us turn to God. For the Israelites it was seeing the miracle that their god could not perform, but the true God could.

I also seen how some turned away from God as covid hit. We never know how life’s events will affect our faith in God.

How long did they stay focused on God? We will see as we continue to read.

Try to read a few verses from the Bible!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
