Writing 1 Kings 11

Good morning!!! It has been way too long. I have finally feel well enough to sit and do my writing. For those who know me I have not been doing too well for a while, I am still working on my recovery but I am finally feeling better.

“Now King Solomon loved many foreign women, along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women, from the nations concerning which the Lord had said to the people of Israel, “You shall not enter into marriage with them, neither shall they with you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love.”

1 kings 11:1-2

“And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods. But he did not keep what the Lord commanded.”

1 Kings 11:9

This is a lesson that I need to be reminded of daily. I know that I am not out marrying a lot of people, but I am constantly surrounded by things that are not of God. Some things I cannot control, but a lot of things I can control. Solomon, a man with so much wisdom, surrounded himself with ungodly people and things and it finally overtook him. This was a man who had even spoken to God. God had even personally warned him. If he could allow this to happen, what hope do I have?

🙂 I have Jesus!! That is where my hope is.

God is so Good!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!

Try to read a few verses from the Bible today!!
